Tips For Maintaining Truck Tires

First I like to point out the legal side. This is a BIG ONE. Being a truck driver is fun and you can make a lot, or a ton of money. So what do I mean legal? Because we both know that you need a CDL license to drive... When I say legal we are looking at your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record). Why is this important? If you have 1 too many violations most trucking companies will not hire you. This is what the trucking schools do not tell you. HR Truck Licence The trucking company's insurance carrier is actually the one that requires the six months to a year of experience. So how can Truck licence driving schools claim that you will have no problem getting hired? The answer lies with the mega trucking companies. These giant companies offer their own truck driving schools that will land you your CDL, and then you will be required to work for them and them alone, usually riding with a trainer for 6-8 weeks before being allowed to go it alone. In addition, during all this time, you will be at the low end of the pay scale. Also, many of these massive trucking companies are their OWN insurance company! Therefore, they can bend the rules so to speak. The more accurate the log books the more accurate your current and future plans will be. No one wants to budget 6 hours of driving when they only have 4 hours of driving left. Also, past experiences can help you plan as well. If you know that 5pm traffic in Chicago always takes an extra 30 minutes, you can plan for it because you will know where your going to be when. Another topic that will help you find a great trucking job is the type of equipment you drive. Your truck is your tool and also your home. Some carriers replace equipment more often then others. When considering a job ask how often the fleet trucks are replaced. Newer trucks can be more fuel efficient, and have less wear and tear damage on them. There is nothing worse for a truck driver than being stuck in a small town waiting for a simple repair to be made. JD Truck Training Centre The learning curve is really steep in the beginning. The schools have to give you all the information they can because if you get out there and make a mistake your company may call the school and say, didn't you teach this? The school can usually say they gave you the information but you must not have used it. That's the schools job... to give you the information. It's your job to learn it and use it. Again, please don't let this scare you. It's intimidating at first, but you'll learn as you go. Everybody goes through this steep learning curve in the beginning and you will too. Later that day a truck backed up to the door filled with all sorts of items already priced and neatly packed into boxes. It was all the items that had not sold at the church yard sale. If you are paying out of pocket make sure that the school has job placement with a decent trucking company! Some trucking companies will reimburse you all or part of your tuition depending on how long you drive a truck for them. You will have no commitment to any trucking company and can move on when you feel like it if you pay for your CDL training out of your own pocket. You can judge the quality of a Truck driving school by the job placement they provide. Yeah I went to a good trucking school. But honestly, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. When I was a kid I accidentally backed my pick-up right into my dads house. My dad said to me you can do anything you put your heart into. So I did it and made that first step to being a trucker.
